Boost for Sajad Lone as Apni Party extends support to him

Srinagar, Apr 22 (KNO): In a significant political development, Jammu & Kashmir Apni Party on Monday extended unconditional support to Peoples Conference president Sajad Gani Lone, who is contesting Lok Sabha polls from Baramulla parliamentary segment. Addressing a news conference here, Bukhari, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), announced his support for Lone on Baramulla Lok Sabha seat. Apni Party has fielded candidates from the Srinagar and Anantnag-Rajouri constituencies. In North Kashmir, I am pleased to announce that we will be supporting Sajad Gani Lone,” Bukhari said. The Apni Party’s support has brightened prospects of Lone as its several leaders wield significant clout in their assembly segments in North Kashmir Lok Sabha seat. The seat is spread over 18 constituencies. With this development, the political equations have completely changed in the parliamentary segment where Lone’s Peoples Conference has been main challenger to National Conference from 1978. Meanwhile , Sajad Gani Lone has extended gratitude to Apni Party president Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari for extending support to him.“I express my sincere gratitude to @SMAltafBukhari and leaders of the @Apnipartyonline for extending support to our party in the Baramulla Parliamentary constituency, in response to our request for support.
